1. Build the frame
An anatomically corrrect wire armature (basic skeleton) was attached to the base as a support for the model. Geoffrey used his experience performing post-mortems during his time at Medical College to create this perfect base for the rest of the work on the sculpture to proceed.

Every painstaking detail such as hair patterns, veins, hands, hooves, paws – even eyelashes – was added at this point.
2. Pour the rubber
A plasticine wall was built around the model leaving a small space to pour first a thin layer of rubber. This was done to allow for the immense amount of detail to be captured.
